When at night

Dominique Lancastre

Roses. Photo Francesca Palli

When at night the body
Tired of fighting back
Crumbling down the stairs to hell.
Can you hear me?
From the depth where you are
Don’t slip away right now.
I brought you a bunch of roses
And  my best cake to eat
What colors are the roses?
And the flavor of the cake?
Can you hear me from where you are?
Dont slip away right now.
My body is tired and my brain too.
Pink and white roses
Creamy vanilla soft cake
They are to take to heaven not to hell.
