Massachusetts Haitian-American Earthquake Task Force

“Artist for Haiti” Announcement

WHAT:

The Massachusetts Haitian American Earthquake Task Force is teaming up with the Haitian Artists Assemblyof Massachusetts, gospel choirs, and their guests from Florida, Haiti, Montréal, Connecticut to launch a major fundraising effort that will benefit organizations working to support victims of the January 12, 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

Sunday January 24, 3pm to 9pm

WHERE:         

Madison High School, 75 Malcom X Boulevard, Roxbury MA

Friends of Haiti, members of the community, college students in particular are invited to use their cell phones to make donations to the Red Cross or contribute check/cash donations to the Earthquake Disaster Fund established with Citizens Bank.  The 6-hour concert, with major Haitian performers, and artists and writers displaying their work, hopes to attract thousands of people to make their donations, as well as callers pledging on phones manned by student volunteers.  Our current list of performers include:
